Ruby Faye Champion, 67, of Youngsville, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Elizabeth Shearin Vaughan and Ellis Vaughan.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Lyon officiating. Burial was in Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Mackie Privette, Ann Maness, Kenneth Privette, Vanita Murray, Rickey Champion, Jr. and Angela Champion; sisters, Virginia Ripley and Gloria Cooke; a brother, Danny Vaughan, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Vaughan.
The family agrees that if they had a dollar for every mother with a heart as big as Ruby’s, they would only have one dollar.

Pallbearers were David Murray, Donald Murray, David Williams, Jeremy Bullock, Shane Helseth and Bobby Peters.
