Elementary school news

Heritage Elementary:
•Open house for Tracks 1, 2 and 3 is tonight (Thursday), 6-7 p.m.
•Track 4 returns to school Monday.
•Tissues and Tea for kindergarten parents is Aug. 5, 7:40-8:40 a.m. in the media center.
•The July and August birthday lunch from Tracks 1 and 2 is Aug. 7 during lunch.

Middle school news

Heritage Middle:
•Schedule pick-up for track 4, today, 4:30-7 p.m.

•Join Heritage Middle for an open house. This is an opportunity for parents to follow their child’s schedule to learn about the curriculum and meet the teachers.
Open house for tracks 1 and 2 will be Aug. 1, 5:30-8 p.m. Tracks 3 and 4 will have open house Aug. 29, 5:30-8 p.m. Parents will be able to complete volunteer registration 5:30-6:30 p.m., attend the PTA/School Information Session meeting 6:30-7 p.m. and meet teachers 7-8 p.m.

Heritage High:
•School information is updated regularly at

Wake Forest High:

•Tickets to Play will be issued in the main lobby of the school Monday, July 29, 3-5 p.m. and Tuesday, July 30, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Necessary paperwork includes participation and physical forms, code of ethics, student athlete travel form and impact concussion form. All physicals must have been completed after Nov. 15, 2012.
•The office is open for school registration from 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
•Cougar Camp for incoming freshmen is July 30 and Aug. 6 from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Students should attend one of the camps. The camp includes team building activities, a scavenger hunt, and information about the school, graduation standards, clubs and more.
The camp includes a parent session at 11:30 a.m.

•The next regularly scheduled general membership meeting of the Wake Forest High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association will be Aug. 20, 7 p.m. in the school media center.
The PTSA chapter meets the second Tuesday at 7 p.m. every month unless otherwise noted.
