Wake Forest Elementary
•WFE PTA Online Membership drive is now open, go to wfepta.org for details. Everyone, parents, grandparents, educators and others active in Wake Forest schools and community, are invited to join our association.
•Show your support and school spirit every Thursday evening during the month of September by dining at Jersey Mikes in Wakefield.
•This year WFE PTA recognizes that times have changed and we need to provide an access for all children to have the opportunity to enjoy reading. To support our student body, WFE PTA is sponsoring Books for Buck$ sale Sept. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations are now being accepted; please drop off gently used books in the front foyer of the main building.
•The Fall Festival is Sept. 21, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Inflatables, stage acts, arts & crafts, games, popcorn, cotton candy and more will be on hand along with a food truck rodeo. Wake Forest High
•The PTSA is holding a Phantom Fundraiser this year. It is called a “Phantom” fundraiser because it does not require students to sell products. Make checks out to the WFHS PTSA and you’re done; 100 percent of donation directly benefits WFHS students. Drop checks off at school office or mail to 420 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest, 27587.
•The new school websites have launched to reflect Wake Forest High rather than Wake Forest-Rolesville High. All domains have remained the same, except for “wfrhs” has changed to “wfhs” in each website address.
•The next meeting of the Athletic Booster Club will be Sept. 9, 7 p.m. in the athletic building behind the Lindey Gym.
