Shelby Jean Journigan Bosch, 77, of Raleigh, passed away peacefully at home under Hospice care Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, after an eight-month battle against colon cancer. Shelby was born in Wake Forest on July 25, 1936, to the late Bennett Allen Journigan and Mildred King Journigan Wiseman, and was a lifelong resident of the Wake Forest, Raleigh, and Durham areas.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21, at Forestville Baptist Church in Wake Forest. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Shelby is survived by her husband, John C. Bosch; her sister, Isabelle J. Corbett (Michael); her brother, Bobby Journigan (Charlotte); her son, Ollie Thomas Evans, Jr.; her daughter, Laura Jean Evans; her younger son, David Alan Evans; and seven loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Bennett Journigan (Polly), her brother, Dennis John Williams (Ann), and by her former husband, Ollie Thomas Evans.

Pallbearers were Fred Ellen, Dan Ellen, Ollie Thomas Evans, Jr., Aaron Verton, Joseph Maginn, and Timothy Penwell.
