For quite some time I have been excited about the newest Metal Gear Solid coming out.
Later this year, we will have the honor of playing Metal Gear Solid V, which is an open world action-adventure stealth video game currently in development for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The Metal Gear Solid series focuses on a war-hardened spy who deals with the difficult task of saving the world — multiple times. The spy, code named Solid Snake, uses state-of-the-art stealth equipment and military weapons to stop some of the most diabolical terrorists.
The universe that this game takes place in is fictional, yet it will draw you in as if it were real.
The director of the series has spent years crafting an intricate story weaving historical facts with fantasy characters, creating a dynamic view of what the world could have been.
Every Metal Gear Solid version takes place in a different point of history, including World War II and the Cold War. One installment actually took place in the near future as well. This time around, the story takes place in 1975 through 1984, focusing on a war with the Soviet Union.
The plot focuses on a new antagonist — a terrorist group that plans on creating a massive weapon for secret reasons. Currently there are no details specifically describing how you as the player will stop this new threat. However, normally your mission is to do what you do best — stop the enemy from accomplishing their goals.
I am eager for this new entry because the series has never disappointed. Metal Gear Solid has won game of the year numerous times because it hits all marks wanted by gamers.
Every game pushes the graphics to new levels, has an outstanding soundtrack and offers gamers their own way of playing. You can be Mr. Nice Guy by not killing anyone or go commando and take down anyone who stands in your way.
The level of detail is phenomenal to say the least. The director takes time into having voice actors perform the motion capture. Playing any of these games will make you feel like you are playing through an intense movie. As a warning, they are rated mature for handful of reasons.
Games readers are looking forward to (submitted by Joey Tomazin):
“I am looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V which is being developed by Konami. I’ve always been a fan of the MGS series and with each installment the series has continued to develop into a thorough and mature game-style. I’m eagerly anticipating seeing what we are given by Konami this year.”
Looks like I am not the only fan waiting to get my copy of Metal Gear Solid V. Are you excited about a particular game coming out later this year?
