Jordan Hall to play softball at Francis Macon University
Former WF-R Cougar Jordan Hall has been picked up by Francis Marion University to play softball for the Division II school.
Hall, 5-3, comes to FMU after spending last year at North Carolina State University, but not as a member of the softball team. At Wake Forest-Rolesville High, she was a four-year letterwinner under coach Doug Kinsman.
Hall began her high school career with a team Rookie of the Year honor in 2009. She was also an All-Conference and All-District selection.
She excelled in the classroom as an Academic All-Conference selection in high school and a Dean’s List member at N.C. State.
Hall spent the summer of 2012 playing travel ball and compiled a batting average of .358 and an on-base percentage of .500. She also stole eight bases.
“Jordan was a late pick-up for us and I am very excited to have her. She is always excited and happy to be on the field and carries that attitude into the dugout as well,” softball coach Stacey Vallee said.
“We will work her as a utility player at first base as we learn where she can help us the most. She also has some pop in her bat as well.”
