WAKE FOREST — LAUNCH Wake Forest graduated its second class Tuesday at the Renaissance Centre. There were 20 graduates in the class.
The event was led by Wake Forest Rotary Club President Brad Walker. The keynote address was by Anthony Caison, vice president of Wake Technical Community College, who stressed the importance of entrepreneurs to the local economy.
Dan Scala introduced the graduates and they gave their elevator speech before receiving their diploma. Katie Gailes, of Wake Tech, ended the evening with a look at the history of the LAUNCH programs across Wake County.
LAUNCH Wake Forest is an entrepreneurial development program sponsored by the Wake Forest Rotary Club, town of Wake Forest, Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce, Wake Electric, Wells Fargo, and Wake Tech.
There are similar programs across the county and as of this spring LAUNCH programs will have graduated over 200 entrepreneurs.
