ROLESVILLE — Rolesville High School briefly locked down April 5 after someone reported seeing an unauthorized person on campus.
A code red lockdown was initiated around 2:15 p.m. and the school, which is located at 1099 E. Young St., sent a message to parents to make them aware of the situation.
“There is an incident that is affecting our school this afternoon,” an email statement said. “We received reports of an unauthorized visitor on campus. We contacted law enforcement officials. They are conducting a thorough search of our building to ensure safety.”
The lockdown was then lifted at 2:30 p.m. and the school published a Twitter post saying normal operations had resumed.
“Further investigation revealed this allegation non-credible and that no evidence was discovered to substantiate that a legitimate threat existed at the Rolesville High School,” a town of Rolesville news release said.
