Torrell Williams of Wake Forest received a $10,000 Horatio Alger Honeywell Scholarship. Williams attends North Carolina A&T State University. This annual scholarship recognizes outstanding students, who have exhibited an admirable commitment to pursuing their college degree in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).
Alina Boyden of Wake Forest received at Master of Arts in anthropology from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Ashlee C. Melhado, and Jennifer Kaitlyn Lantzer of Wake Forest participated in the traditional White Coat Ceremony at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
The annual event signifies acceptance into the competitive four-year academic program leading to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Two of 101 students in the class of 2019, Ashlee graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berry College in May with a Bachelor of Science in animal science with a minor is chemistry and Lantzer graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science.
Melhado is the daughter of David and Jeanne Melhado of Wake Forest. Lantzer is the daughter of Vicki and Tom Lantzer of Wake Forest.
