WAKE FOREST — The Wake Forest High School’s advance chorus participated in the all-county performance under the direction of Dr. Alfred Sturgis, Oct. 27.
Along with three other schools, Wake Forest perfromed with the North Carolina Master Chorale and North Carolina Symphony at Meymandi Concert Hall.
The high schools sang Misericordias Domini by Mozart to begin the concert and also performed the Five Spirituals with the master chorale.
The performance was a once-in-a-life time chance for the students. They spent more than 10 hours working on the music outside school hours to prepare.
For those that missed the concert, Wake Forest High will be singing the Spirituals, Misericordias Domini and much more at their Nov. 25 concert, 7 p.m. in the Wake Forest auditorium.
