WAKE FOREST — In the first conference match of the season, Wakefield came out on top with a team score of 118 for three players. Heritage placed fifth with 136, just ahead of Wake Forest’s sixth-place 137.
Wakefield also notched the top individual score with Casey Burroughs having the lowest round at 36.
Others in the top 10 were Heritage’s Rhea Bhatia, Wakefield’s Susannah Ireland and Wake Forest’s Samantha Bennett with 39 each, tying them for fifth place.
Wakefield’s Shreeya Singh and Wake Forest’s Maddie Fingers
also tied with Enloe’s Brianna Bulgarino for eighth place with 43 each.
Other individual scores are as follows:
For Wakefield — Rachel Hulicki, 50 and Jaclyn Henshaw, 52;
For Heritage — Hannah Whitt, 47, Sydney Dunigan, 50, Rachel Swakoph, 50 and Carly Romano, 55;
For Wake Forest — Mary Kate Connelly, 55, Lexi Blevins, 57 and Drue Bagnal, 58.
The next Cap 8 conference golf match will be Sept. 3, 3:30 p.m., at Hasentree Golf Club.
