Weddings and Engagements

The Wake Weekly publishes engagement and wedding announcements (and a photo with each if provided) free of charge.

Engagements - We are happy to include the announcements of your engagement, wedding and showers/parties in the paper.We consider information concerning each newsworthy and ask that information about each be submitted as they occur. Please fill out this form legibly and submit it to our offices (with a photo if you desire) before 5 p.m. the Thursday prior to the desired publication date. If neither the bride nor groom live in our circulation area, please include the reason why you want the story published locally (grandparents live here, etc.). Information about submitting photos is below.

Weddings - Please fill out these forms legibly and return them to our offices no later than 5 p.m. the Thursday prior to the wedding. The story and photo will be published the following Thursday. Information submitted more than two months after the wedding will run in an abbreviated form. Information about submitting photos is below.

Submitted photographs should be mailed or delivered to the above address and will be available for pickup at The Wake Weekly office the day of the announcement's publication.E-mailed photos are accepted, but must be at least 200 dpi (dots per inch) and no smaller than 4x6 inches.
