William Edward Dye, 79, of Wake Forest, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at his home. He was born in Manhattan, N.Y., the son of the late Annabel McCarthy Dye and William James Dye, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Dye is survived by his children, Christine Elizabeth Haney and husband, David, of Wake Forest; William Eric Dye and wife, Maria, of Long Island, N.Y.; and Allison Dileo, of Long Island; sister, Evelyn Sullivan, of Rockville Center, N.Y.; brother, Richard Patrick Dye, of Virginia; grandchildren, Allyson Christine Haney, Christopher Charles Haney, Ryan Lombardi, Bailey Marie Dye, Eric William Dye, Alex Visco, Ronald Nery and Jaztin Nery Dye; great-grandsons, Jalin Nery and Kaleb Nery; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Joanne Knape Dye, and by his brother, George Dye.
