YOUNGSVILLE — If you’ve never been to a WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) match and have always wanted to, Saturday is your chance to see a Saturday Night Live-esque version.
GOUGE (Gimmicks Only Underground Grappling Entertainment) will be in the Youngsville National Guard Armory, at 7 p.m., with its Fallout production, all of the proceeds benefiting Youngsville Parks and Recreation.
Featuring personalities like Alas de Angel and El Chaco, Junk Food Dog and Zebadiah Munson, GOUGE wrestling pokes fun at the professional entertainment wrestling industry and all for a good cause.
The gougewrestling.com website describes GOUGE events as a “different brand of wrestling … a meeting of giants likened back to the carnival days from which our noble sport hath sprung.”
Attendees can expect some wrestling, a lot of promotion, plenty of tricks and gimmicks and 100 percent fun.
The Fallout program will feature Mickey Gambino teaming up with Admir Al Akbar fighting against Seymour Snott teamed up with Count Grog himself. The two managers, Grog and Akbar, will be handcuffed together at ringside.
Also participating will be Otto Schwanz, Sean Alexander, The Goat and more GOUGE stars.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show start. The armory is located at 142 U.S. 1-A, beside Luddy Park and across from Youngsville Elementary.
