YOUNGSVILLE — It’s time to mark calendars to get ready for all-day holiday fun with Youngsville’s annual Old Time Christmas and Christmas Parade set for Saturday, Dec. 7.
The day begins with a pancake breakfast 7:30-9:30 a.m. in the Youngsville Rescue Squad Building, 105 NW Railroad St. There will be pancakes, biscuits, sausage, orange juice and coffee. There will also be a silent auction with proceeds to benefit the Rescue Squad Building fund. Anyone with donations for the auction can drop off at the Rescue building or call 919-556-4981.
Right after breakfast is the parade at 10 a.m., right down Main Street. Entries for the parade are free. To participate, call town hall at 919-556-5073.

Faith Baptist Church singers and the Rachel Macholl Dance Studio will be presenting. Also on display will be all the gingerbread house contest winners. Hot dogs and drinks will be on sale by the Youngsville Masonic Lodge.
The day winds up at 5:30 p.m. with the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Mitchell Park, 125 W. Persimmon St., behind Youngsville Elementary School. There will be hot apple sider, ginger snap cookies and more Christmas music. Also, the Christmas decorating award winners will be announced.
