RALEIGH — A Youngsville man is in the Wake County jail on a $202,000 bond for allegedly pimping out a 15-year-old girl for sex.
Jeffrey Michael Botellio, 49, 101 Beechwood Drive, was arrested by Raleigh Police Officer W.E. Faircloth Aug. 10 at 3:15 a.m. at the Raleigh Police Department on Atlantic Avenue.
He is charged with felony sexual servitude involving a child victim and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to media reports, the suspect kept the teenager at the Raleigh Econo Lodge Motel, 2617 Appliance Court, and sold her services for sex. He told a judge he thought she was 20 years old and had been trying to help her, reports stated.
Engaging in the sale of sexual services with an adult is also illegal.
Botellio is scheduled to make his first court appearance Aug. 29. He does not have a criminal record in North Carolina.
