YOUNGSVILLE — The Youngsville Woman’s Club will sponsor a book signing at the Youngsville Public Library.
Local award winning author and member of the Youngsville Woman’s Club Nancy LaPonzina will sign copies of her new book A Path Through the Garden.
LaPonzina will also speak about how she became a writer.
“Never say no to yourself, you will never give yourself a chance to blossom if you say no,” she said.
LaPonzina has had a passion for writing since second grade, when she wrote her first story, a mystery featuring fellow classmates.
She lives in Youngsville and she describes her work as “women’s fiction with a dollop of archaeology, the metaphysical, and alternative healing modalities,” according to her website.
In 2012, she released her debut book Nardi Point set in Raleigh. It went on to win the Chanticleer Book Review and Media 2012 Blue Ribbon First Place Published Novel award in the contemporary women’s fiction genre.
A Path Through the Garden was released July 3. The story touches on themes of infertility, archaeology, Native American folkways and the dynamics of the mundane versus enlightenment.
